Viaje

Volagi Viaje (vee-AH-hey)

Viaje – n. the act of traveling from one place to another, a trip

All great journeys venture off the beaten path and onto uncharted roads. For this, the Viaje has been specifically designed for the rider who loves to explore. Exceptional road bike handling with the tire clearance and moxie to forge new trails. Add fenders, racks, and lights to create the perfect bike for any situation.

Literally translated from Spanish, Viaje meaning “trip” or “journey” alludes to the spiritual core of why we all ride a bike – to enjoy the journey.  The Viaje is a  road bike that can truly do it all. From riding on paved surfaces, gravel back roads, and everything in between.  Moreover, the Viaje boasts the versatility of many bikes rolled into one.

Constructed from 4130 Chromoly double butted tubing, and mated with a carbon tapered fork with a carbon steer tube, the ride quality of the material chosen for this bike is intrinsically smooth with significant road vibration dampening technologies. Wherever the road takes you, the steel used for the Viaje makes for a buttery smooth and responsive ride.

Options are virtually limitless when you can switch from your 23mm wide racing wheels to your 40c knobby 29ers in seconds, all on the same bike. Don’t ever let tire clearance be the limiting factor for where your ride can take you. Ride from pave, to gravel, to single track in one day and then do it all over again.    There’s no denying the benefits of riding a bike over other forms of transportation. When traveling long distances or simply commuting to and from work on your Viaje, your bike needs to be as resilient as you are.

The Viaje incorporates front and rear fender mounts to keep Mother Nature from ruining your clean duds. Plus, we wanted you to have the option of hauling around extra goodies if need be, so we added rear rack mounts to the bike as well.

The Volagi Viaje is truly the ultimate quiver killer when it comes to a road bike with possibilities. The Viaje can do it all: mounts for racks and bags for your next randonneuring event, clearance up to 42c tires for an epic off road adventure, and lightweight enough to be your go-to road bike or gravel grinder.

We found that the benefits of our patented Long Bow Flex Stay design on our carbon frames, are equally as evident when used in a steel frame. Built from a continuous piece of steel tubing to maximize compliance, the stays are welded to a single sculpted lug which is brazed to the curved top tube. The result of this radical frame design is an exceptionally smooth ride quality and one beautifully sculpted piece of rideable art.

Volagi bicycles have been proven to be the most comfortable performance bikes on the market. Featured in lab tests and compared to competitors’ products, Volagi bicycles continually score highest where it counts. What cannot be tested in the lab, is how our bikes perform over long stretches of time in the saddle. That’s where our loyal Volagi customers offer better results than any lab test. Here are real testimonials from real riders who love their Volagi bicycles:

I can not believe how smooth the Viaje ride is and how well it handles on rough roads and trails. - ERIC KOPCZYNSKI, BOZEMAN ID

I got my Viaje two weeks ago and took it on its first Century this weekend. It was raining at the start and every part of everything was wet. I was in a 20 man pace line at mile 8 when #3 yells “stopping” – chaos – Disc brakes work great even wet. 10 guys on the ground behind me wishing they had disc brakes. I’m sold. -BILL CUNNINGHAM, CO

My Viaje handled both paved and dirt surfaces with ease. Then onto paved again, to reach a very steep uphill that heads up from Hiway 1. I am not a very strong climber, but I really noticed how effortless it seemed -MARIANNE WYLLIE, Ben Lomond CA
