In For The Long Haul

For our relative size next to other bicycle companies in our class, we’ve carved out a strong presence in the bicycle industry in a matter of three short years. We know that the little guys have to fight even harder for the recognition they deserve but we also know that in all aspects of life, the more effort you put in, the stronger you become. Positive press like the article printed in the May 2013 issue of Velo magazine, is a huge affirmation of the progress we’ve made and the promising future ahead of us.
“This is a very proud moment for Volagi, we went head to head against the two largest bike brands in the world, and we crushed them in many respects.” co-founder Barley Forsman knows just what it means to excel in the category we are most passionate about. For a group of endurance cyclists who started a company to make endurance bikes, being hailed as the most comfortable road bike on the market is a huge accolade.
I try to avoid clichés but I can’t help but feel this one sums up our efforts nicely: we are for cyclists, by cyclists. It feels good to make bikes that are so well received in the cycling community. A bike that’s as much at home on a double century as it is on a weekend club ride. A bike that according to the experts at Velo magazine is, “the most comfortable road frame we’ve ever ridden.” as well as, “the most adventurous, begging to be taken off the asphalt in a way that no other in this test does.”
The title of the article couldn't have been any more fitting. We've come a long way in just three short years, and with nothing but open road under our tires, we're In For The Long Haul.
Be sure to head down to your local bike shop this weekend and pick up the May issue of Velo magazine (pg 60) and while you’re there, be sure to pick up a 2013 Volagi Liscio. You’ll thank me later.
